The vision of a glowing Nigella Lawson in her underwear bra is enough to make lots of men drop their dinner and now the sultry food fanatic has admitted : 'I just wear a bra on the treadmill’.

With her creamy voice and clinging tops Nigella has long held the title of sexiest celebrity chef, but it seems the flirty foodie gets even saucier when she’s working out.

The food genius behind your guide to the ultimate Italian Christmas has revealed that she keeps her famous hour glass figure in shape by running on the treadmill, and there isn't any Lycra in sight.

‘I’ve got a treadmill upstairs. I lock the door so no-one can come in. I just wear a bra and a pair of trainers’

‘Exercise is the only thing that means I can still eat. It’s about keeping the status quo,' said the cook, who has recently shed the pounds and been showing off the results in a series of figure hugging dresses.

‘I play very loud music - disco and 1980s - and sing. I’ve got a terrible voice. It clears my head because I’m such a frantic worrier. But if you sing really loud, even for just 15 minutes, those worries can’t take hold.’

Watching her on screen, turning cooking into an act of seduction, it is hard to imagine the 52-year-old has anything to worry about, but the mother-of-two recently underwent painful surgery on bunions on her feet which left her confined to the sofa for weeks.

She also disclosed to Red magazine that her relationship with food has not always been so wonderful.

Nigella describes how she dreaded meal times as a child, sometimes resorting to throwing food away to avoid it being served again as leftovers.

She tells of how at boarding school she would read through cookery books dreaming of all the foods she was missing out on.

Stating she wants to nurture a better relationship with food in her children, the chef seems to have laid any demons she has with food to rest and is one of the most successful celebrity chefs today.
